simply b feb challenge

This month the challenge (facebook simply B challenges) was to make a project using an image (given by them and this time we had to choose either a girl or boy) but without using pastel colors. All easter image without pastels!
So here is my card and I had to use the new mini 8 border  punch which I got recently
some twines, charm, burlap and square rhinestones completed the card. I also used a piercer and orange and white gel pen to make fauz stitches
Used Copics of course on the images
For face - E00, E02, E11, E13
Blues - E9 family
Browns - E3 family and a little bit of E5 family
For the inner ears and lips a bit of E04

'Birthdays are Fun'

What a fun challenge we have at DS4J this week.

THEME : 'Birthdays are Fun'. It's  a birthday bash!!
So Create a papercraft project or card to fit the themeYour creation/card can be anything to do with  BIRTHDAYS!!! It can be for ANY age as well!
So do come and join us there and win some prize.

The card base is cut using silhouette Sd. Made a shape card out of it. Isn't the image so cute? I love how the way she is holding a banner in her hands.
I had these roses and a white rhinestone ribbon (which I cut into individual pieces instead of adding plain bling) for quite a while - I think I got them a year back from lacrafts. I decided to use them on this card to decorate

The inside has this sentiment

I am going to enter this card in some challenges

Happy Sweet Valentine

Happy Sweet Valentine!
Had to use this cute cute image which is a rubber stamp by designer Elizabeth Bell which I got from sweetpeastamps last year. Had to wait until now to use it didn't I ? :)

Colored with copics

I usually don't keep a track of copics used as I just pull and use it
I think I used the reds - R2 family i.e R22 - R29 and a bit of R59 for contrast
for greens - the G2 family and for the blues - B9 family
And some greys - C family
Skin - E000,E00,E21,E11,E13
Wow not bad!
I want to enter this in Sweet peas challenge blogs - http://onesweetchallenge.blogspot.com/2013/02/february-2013-challenge.html. Somehow challenges are so addicting and I am loving them.
Hope you enjoyed this card

A Hundred hearts would be too few

"A Hundred hearts would be too few to carry all my love for you"
Ain't that sentiment sweet?
Do you want this in your digi collection?
then do go to www.digistamps4joy.co.za/eshop and grab them as they are free for 3 days. Just open an account if you are not a member already and add it to your cart and checkout. But do hurry as they will be available only for 3 day and always lookout on first friday of every month for a freebie.
And here is a fun thing you can do with the images

"
There will be a mini competition on Facebook, starting the DAY the freebie is released - 1
1. Using BOTH freebies, create a project for Valentine's Day - one requirement - must be a registered store customer.
2. OR .... Use ONE of the freebies together with another DS4J image to create a project
Both entries will go into a draw for 5 images from the store!!"
So look in the shop or blog for more details.

Here is my take using the lovely tags and box

I am of course going to enter this in a few challenges

Love is Everything

Happy Valentine's day in advance
Hi
This is Pam from Papillon digital designs & The Bugbytes today on Shes a Sassylady
I love using whites especially when you want to make elegant cards for wedding or for those romantic moments. Combine them with pastel colors with just a touch of darker shade in focal point and they give a dreamy look.
So I decided to use lots of whites

This is cut with silhouette. I used a label and made it into a shape card. I wanted an easel card so I scored in half the front of card. remember when you make an easel card it is preferable that you make another layer of the front same size as when you fold you want it to remain same. You can then mat this. If you just go for the mat only then you will have the bottom half matted and top half will look strange when you make it stand as easel. I hope I am making sense
I embossed the front piece with cuttlebug swiss dot folder. The dove image is also a silhouette cut file and so is the sentiment. I added some flowers and a rhinestone ribbon. I added a Love sticker from studio G in the center between the doves.
Love silhouette for how intricately it cuts.
Hope you enjoyed this. Do share your creation with us.
Thanks Sheila for having me here.

PS:
I had a few question about this card
So here goes

I grabbed one of the label from silhouette online - http://www.silhouetteonlinestore.com/php/?page=view-shape&id=28430
and then welded to make a card . I scored the card'd front in half to make and easel card.
I also used another image dove - http://www.silhouetteonlinestore.com/php/?page=view-shape&id=34654 for the focal image.
